Understairs Update We now hear that a number of the Fringe productions which were to have been at understairs@Apostolic have found new venues:
As already announced, Double Dutch, the show which led to the closure of understairs@Apostolic, will now be performed at the Underbelly "To even consider cancelling the show would have been unthinkable," the director of one of the affected companies told the BTG. "Many other companies are also flying in from Australia, America and Japan - cancellation would never have been an option for ANY of us! understairs has let us down not only with the venues but also accommodation in some cases. "Despite repeated attempts to contact understairs yielding no joy, the Fringe Office was extremely helpful (particularly Amber Rimmer), and I know I am not alone when I say that all the displaced companies I have spoken to have been touched by the efficiency and emapthy shown by our new venue managers. "It is certainly my hope that such a negligent venue management group takes responsiblity for the devastating situation it put so many at the Apostolic in last week, and the position so many are in now."
