Spring at the Unicorn

Southwark's Unicorn Theatre for children has announced its spring 2010 programme.

From the 2nd to 21st February it's the Storytelling Season, based on Viking, Greek and Irish myths and aimed at audiences of 7 plus. This is followed by:

6th March - 18th April
The London Eye Mystery
Adapted from the novel by Siobhan Dowd
Performed by the Unicorn Ensemble
For age 10+
When Ted and Kat watch their cousin Salim board the London Eye, they naturally assume they’ll see him again 30 minutes later. After all, there’s no way off once the pod’s left the ground, is there? But as the pod completes its journey and everyone troops off, there’s no sign of Salim. How on earth could he have disappeared into thin air?

10th - 14th March
Jake and Cake
Presentd by Theatre Centre
For age 6+
Jake has moved to the country. Missing his best friend Raymond, he wishes to be back in London. One day, a local girl called Cake tumbles into his life with stories of strange magic and ancient myths. Does she have special powers to find Raymond and will Jake ever believe her stories? As storm clouds gather, they move into the woods in search of friendship and the winding path home.

17th - 21st March
My Mother Told Me Not to Stare
By Finegan Kruckemeyer and Martyn Harry
Theatre Hullabaloo and Action Transport Theatre
A dark operetta for curious children and their grown ups.

7th - 18th April
