The Play's Not the Thing for Pimlott Steven Pimlott has had to pull out of directing the winning play in the Channel 4 TV series The Play's the Thing because of health reasons, it was announced today. He will be replaced by Robert Delamere, who has been mentoring one of the short-listed playwrights. Pimlott was mentoring the winner. Because of the change, the play's previews at the New Ambassadors will now start two days later, on 14th June, but the press night remains the same, 22nd June. Three members of the cast have been announced - Maxine Peake, Paul Hilton and Tom McKay - but all other details are being kept secret. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
