Newcastle’s Live Theatre has announced its September 2018 to March 2019 programme of visiting productions

  • 30 August – 1 September
    The Six Twenty presents
    Mixtape Timehop

    Part comedy sketch show and part music quiz, Timehop rides through the decades from the '50s onwards.

  • 12 – 23 September
    Abbey Theatre, Dublin, presents the UK première
    Two Pints
    By Roddy Doyle

    Two men meet for a pint. They talk about their dads, death, Nigella, North Korea, the afterlife…

    And the bar returns to the actual theatre, just as it was before the refurbishment all those years ago.

  • 20 and 21 September
    Stand and Be Counted presents
    Where We Began

    When every citizen is ordered to return to their place of birth, this play examines where we could end up.

    Final Showcase

    New work created by Northumbria University MA and Performance students. There will be a different programme each night.

    A one-man show

    Dean joined the army, Danny joined Islamic State. A story of disenfranchisement, prejudice, social alienation, radicalisation and the rock band Queen.
