Cameron Mackintosh

West End Ticket Price Drop

After a number of West End shows passed on the 2.5% reduction in VAT to the ticket buying public, others have reduced prices even further.

At Sadler's Wells pre-Christmas prices have been reduced by 15% for Matthew Bourne's Edward Scissorhands, so they now range from £8.50 to £42.50. The original pricing stucture will resume for performances after 26th December.

Cameron Mackintosh has just announced that, as from 10am tomorrow (4th December), "Crunch Buster" tickets will be available for his shows Avenue Q, Oliver!, Jersey Boys, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia! and Phantom of the Opera. These are family tickets which cost £50 and will admit a fmaily of four (two adults and two children).

"Obviously the current economic climate is going to affect some people more than others," Mackintosh said, "and I would like as many families as possible to enjoy a night out at one of my shows. The Crunch Buster will give them the opportunity of seeing a top show for almost the same price as a cinema ticket."
