Cinderella continues at Newcastle’s Theatre Royal until 15 January.

James and the Giant Peach continues at Northern Stage until 31 December. From Tuesday (also until 31), Northern Stage, in association with Theatr Iolo and Theatre Hullabaloo, presents Luna (for ages 2 to 4). This show is completely sold out.

From Thursday to Saturday, Open Clasp’s Key Change returns to Live Theatre. Most performances are sold out. The Terminal Velocity of Snowflakes, a new play by Newcastle writer Nina Berry, opens on Thursday in the Studio and runs until 17 December.

The Tyne Theatre and Opera House’s panto Beauty and the Beast continues until 30 December.

Alphabetti Theatre presents How Did We Get To This Point?, a new play by Ali Pritchard, from Tuesday to Saturday.

At Dance City on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (various times), CoisCéim Dance Theatre presents The Wolf and Peter, an original dance show for ages 6+.

Sunderland Empire’s panto, Sleeping Beauty, opens on Friday and runs until 31 December.

At the Customs House in South Shields, Jack and the Beanstalk runs until 7 January in the Main House and in the Studio children’s show Santa’s Naughty Elf and the Frozen Christmas runs until 24 December (various times).

Convicts and Lunatics comes to the Queen’s Hall in Hexham on Friday, a double bill comprising Red Ladder with Wrong ‘Un, A Suffragette’s Story by Boff Whalley alongside This Really Is Too Much, comedy dance from Gracefool Collective.

Aladdin opens on Monday at the Playhouse Whitley Bay and runs until 2 January.

Jack and the Beanstalk continues at the Gala in Durham until 7 January. Meanwhile Elf’s Christmas Wish, a show for the under-5s, opens on Monday and runs until 24 December (various times).

At Billingham Forum, Jack and the Beanstalk continues until 8 January (various times).

Aladdin opens at Middlesbrough Theatre on Thursday and continues until 8 January (various times).

The Snow Dragon, presented by Tall Stories and aimed at age 3+, opens at ARC Stockton Tuesday and runs until 20 December (various times).

Snow White continues at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond until 8 January.

Dick Whittington continues at Harrogate Theatre until 15 January. On Saturday in the Studio, Luke Wright presents his one-man show What I Learned from Johnny Bevan.
