A folk musical telling the true story of a group of women who after World War II transformed their village into a thriving community, Petticoat Council by Frankie Meredith tours to Great Alne Park, Alcester on Wednesday, Warwickspace, Warwick on Friday and Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa on Sunday.

The Courtyard Hereford’s writing class, The Writing Room, stages Air, an “audio extravaganza” in which 12 writers have created short radio plays set in Herefordshire, at the Courtyard on Thursday.

Oddsocks Productions performs Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors in the craft village at Markeaton Park, Derby from Thursday until Saturday.

Three years after its debut, Nottingham Puppet Festival returns with a “vibrant and fun” programme of puppetry at various locations in the city centre from Thursday until Sunday.
