Sunshine in Leith (Byker)
Prode and Prejudice

On Thursday and Friday SA Productions, part of Newcastle's Sage Academy of the Performing Arts, presents Sunshine on Leith (Byker) at Northern Stage. Meanwhile the theatre's Edinburgh Fringe season continues until Saturday.

On Wednesday Heartbreak Productions bring a contemporary interactive adaptation of Pride and Prejudice to the Harton Quays Amphitheatre, outside the Customs House in South Shields.

On Monday at 6.30 in RHS Harlow Carr Gardens, Harrogate, there will be a performance of Alice the Musical, followed on Wednesday by Romeo and Juliet by The Lord Chamberlain's Men. Meanwhile the Gilbert and Sullivan season continues until 26th August at the Royal Hall.
