The Bodyguard comes to the Theatre Royal in Newcastle from Wednesday until 18 April.

Wicked arrives at Sunderland Empire on Tuesday and runs until 25 April.

Talking Scarlet presents the thriller Stone Cold Murder at the Customs House in South Shields on Tuesday.

From Tuesday to Thursday Shakespeare's Globe Theatre On Tour brings Romeo & Juliet to Alnwick Playhouse.

At the Queen's Hall in Hexham on Tuesday the two performances of Clydebuilt Puppets' Gingerbread Man are sold out. On Thursday at 2PM and 8PM, Multi Story Theatre presents a BITESIZE show, Almost Heaven, and on Saturday Opera della Luna performs Ghosts of Ruddigore.

At 11:30AM and 2:30PM on Friday and Saturday Komedia presents Pitschi, The Kitten With Dreams for age 2 to 7 at ARC Stockton.

Easter panto Beauty and the Beast comes to Darlington Civic on Wednesday at 3PM and 7PM and Thursday at 1PM and 4:30PM.

On Friday at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, Dyad Productions presents The Unremarkable Death of Marilyn Monroe.

At Harrogate Theatre on Wednesday, there's a work-in-progress performance of dance piece Night + Daze in the Studio and the Reduced Shakespeare Company's The Complete History of Comedy (Abridged) in the Main House, followed on Thursday, also in the Main House, by Northern Ballet's children's production The Elves and the Shoemaker.
