At Northern Stage from Wednesday to Friday, Third Angel presents Presumption. Then on Friday and Saturday in Stage 3, Kate O’Donnell and Contact present Big Girl’s Blouse about being a transgender woman.

On Thursday, Operating Theatre presents Squirrels, a long, hard look at how some young people who are experiencing mental illness are being left to fend for themselves, at Arts Centre Washington.

In the Green Room at the Queen’s Hall in Hexham on Thursday and Friday there is another BITESIZE production, The Me Show.

Northern Ballet brings Tortoise and the Hare to Durham’s Gala Theatre on Wednesday at 2PM, 4PM and 6PM.

Tortoise and the Hare comes to Middlesbrough Theatre on Tuesday at 12PM, 2PM and 4:30PM. Then from Wednesday to Saturday, Rumpus Theatre presents Tim Firth’s Sign of the Times.

Peppa Pig’s Surprise is at Darlington Civic on Saturday and Sunday at 10AM, 1PM and 4PM.

This week, Nothing to See Here, a trilogy of contemporary performance exploring sex, gender & identity, comes to Harrogate Theatre’s Studio. Big Girl’s Blouse is on Thursday, followed on Friday by DeNada Dance Theatre with a gender-bending evening of “seductive and provocative … kitschy and filmic” dance, Ham and Passion. Finally on Saturday, An Odd Occasion is “funny, shamelessly brash and a little bit rude.”
