From Wednesday to Saturday, the Scottish Opera and D’Oyly Carte production of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado comes to Newcastle’s Theatre Royal.

In Stage 2 at Northern Stage, Julie continues until Saturday.

In a caravan in the new Live Garden at Live Theatre, The Paper Birds’ Mobile continues until 26 June.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Queen’s Hall in Hexham presents The Diary of a Hounslow Girl, a coming-of-age tale of a 16-year-old Muslim girl born and living in London.

“Original and unauthorised” parody, Graeme of Thrones, comes to Durham’s Gala Theatre on Monday.

On Tuesday Oddsocks brings its comic musical adaptation of Macbeth to Billingham Forum.

Dirty Dusting comes to Middlesbrough Theatre on Friday.

Colin Pinney, as the Reverend Patrick Brontë, reveals the story of Patrick’s son Branwell Brontë and his famous sisters at the Crown Street Library in Stockton on Wednesday. Tickets available from ARC.
