Mary Poppins continues at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle until 29 October.

At Northern Stage on Tuesday and Wednesday, Ballet Black presents a triple bill: The Begin, Begin by Christopher Marney; Cristaux, a duet by Arthur Pita and Christopher Hampson's Storyville. Then on Thursday and Friday Tangled Feet presents Kicking and Screaming.

Live Theatre’s co-production with Paines Plough, Broken Biscuits, continues at the Newcastle Quayside venue until 22 October.

Nic Green, Laura Bradshaw and Rosana Cade present Cock and Bull, three females performing their own alternative party conference, at the New Tyne Theatre and Opera House on Thursday.

From Wednesday to Saturday, Alphabetti Theatre presents The Response Plays, two short plays written in one week and rehearsed in another in response to Bacon Knees and Sausage Fingers. The two plays are Eat Dog by Louise Taylor and Queen Victoria opened the High Level Bridge by Evy Kirtley.

At Dance City on Friday and Saturday Phoenix Dance Theatre presents a triple bill: Kate Flatt’s Undivided Loves, Until.With/Out.Enough by Itzik Galili and Caroline Finn’s Bloom.

Footloose comes to Sunderland Empire from Tuesday to Saturday.

On Tuesday, Tom Adams & Laura Mugridge present Bookish at Independent, Holmeside, Sunderland, part of the autumn Sunderland Stages season.

At the Customs House in South Shields this week, Icarus Theatre Collective presents The Trials of Galileo on Wednesday and on Thursday MADE4STAGE presents Being an Ultimate Warrior by local writer Wayne Miller.

The Trials of Galileo comes to the Queen’s Hall in Hexham on Friday.

New comedy Seriously Dead is at Billingham Forum on Sunday 16 October.

Starlight, a show for ages 2 to 6, comes to Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre on Sunday at 12:30 and 3PM.

One-man show Jonathan Pie: Live! is at ARC Stockton on Thursday.

The Harrogate Comedy Festival continues at Harrogate Theatre throughout the week.
