The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time returns to the Theatre Royal Newcastle from Tuesday until Saturday 10 June.

From Tuesday to Saturday, Northumbria University Performing Arts will present two plays: Edward Bond’s Human Cannon (Thursday and Saturday at 1PM and Tuesday and Friday at 7PM) and Caryl Churchill’s Love and Information (Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at 7PM and Friday at 1PM). From Thursday to Saturday (various times) Dinosaur World (for age 3+) comes to the theatre.

On Friday and Saturday at 6:30, and then on Tuesday 6 at 7:30, Mary Cooper and M W Sun draw on real life stories from Chinese people living in Northern England to create a powerful new drama of love and loss, struggle and survival in From Shore to Shore at the Palace Garden Restaurant in Newcastle’s China Town. Ticket price include a two-course meal. The Tuesday show is sold out. Tickets can be obtained from Northern Stage.

Gateshead College BA (Hons) Performing Arts Final Year Students perform Harold Pinter’s Celebration on Wednesday at Arts Centre Washington.

On Wednesday at Alnwick Playhouse, Open Sky presents Scorched, the true story of a World War II veteran and dementia.

(We Are) Such Stuff presents Our Country's Good in the Henry Travers Studio at The Maltings in Berwick on Friday at 7PM.

The Tap Dancing Mermaid, produced by Pigtails Productions in association with Redgrave Theatre, for age 3+ comes to the Queen’s Hall in Hexham on Thursday at 2PM.

At Hexham Auction Mart on Friday at 7:30, the November Club presents Beyond the End of the Road, a “musical shindig” written by Laura Lindow, with music & lyrics by Katie Doherty, inspired by Northumbrian folk and traditional music. Tickets from the Queen’s Hall.

Mr Corvan’s Music Hall is at Playhouse Whitley Bay on Saturday.

On Thursday at 8PM, Blowin’ a Hooley brings Tom Haddaway’s The Filleting Machine to the Low Lights Tavern in North Shields at 8PM.

Down at the Diner comes to the Gala in Durham on Saturday night.

Room on the Broom (for age 3+) is at Middlesbrough Theatre in Saturday at 2PM and 4:30 and Sunday at 11PM and 2PM.

Half Moon presents a Floods of Ink Production The Girl and The Giraffe at ARC Stockton on Friday and Saturday at 11:30 and 2:30. For ages 3 to 6.

A busy week at Harrogate Theatre begins on Tuesday and Wednesday with The Tiger Who Came to Tea (age 3+), which is directed by David Wood who wrote the adaptation. Then on Thursday in The Studio, The Mayers Ensemble presents What If I Told You, written and performed by Pauline Mayers and directed by Chris Goode. On Friday in the Main Theatre, Sardoville performs a double bill of dance, A Matter of Impression. Finally on Saturday, Rhiannon Faith presents Scary Shit in which two young women attend therapy to learn about themselves, the world and imagine a future without fear.
