At Northern Stage Alice in Wonderland continues until 6 January. Until Saturday (various times), Little Angel Theatre’s Me…, for ages 2 to 4 and based on the book by popular children’s author Emma Dodd, is in Stage 3.

Live Theatre is closed until 2 January.

No theatre this week but Alphabetti invites all its friends to the free New Year’s Eve party starting at 7:30 on Sunday. “There may,” they say, “be enchanted fish, there may be delightful dogs or there may even be flying elephants... you will have to come along and find out!”

Melva from Mortal Fools is on at Front Street Theatre in Prudhoe until 6 January.

Cinderella continues at Playhouse Whitley Bay until 7 January.

Robinson Crusoe continues at Durham’s Gala Theatre until 6 January. In the Studio until Saturday (various times), the theatre presents Mrs Claus’ Kitchen for the under-7s. There are some performances which are not sold out.
