The Kite Runner comes to Newcastle’s Theatre Royal from Monday to Saturday.

From Tuesday to Saturday, Pilot Theatre and York Theatre Royal present Bryony Lavery’s adaptation of Graham Greene’s Brighton Rock at Northern Stage in Stage 1. In Stage 3 on Tuesday and Wednesday, Rowan McCabe performs his one-man show which tells the story of how he became the world’s first Door to Door Poet.

D C Jackson’s My Romantic History continues at Live Theatre until 12 May.

On Thursday, Alphabetti has its season’s launch party from 7:30. On Saturday, Open Heart Theatre presents the May edition of its impro show Let Us Make It Up To You.

On Thursday at Dance City, Company Chameleon presents 10, a new triple bill celebrating its 10th anniversary year.

Rhum and Clay Theatre Company and Kit Redstone present Testosterone at Arts Centre Washington on Thursday.

Testosterone is at Alnwick Playhouse on Wednesday.

On Saturday, One Woman Sex and the City: A Parody on Love, Friendship, and Shoes comes to Playhouse Whitley Bay.

Durham’s Gala Theatre presents its regular showcase of new work, Next Up…, on Tuesday (free entry).

Testosterone moves to The Whitham in Barnard Castle on Friday and then to Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Saturday.

Testosterone is at Hartlepool Town Hall on Monday.

On Thursday at 7:00 and 8:30 at ARC Stockton, digital dance company Pell Ensemble presents Upload / Unplug, a live gaming experience where your choices become data, uploaded to shape a new human being.

Balletboyz bring Fourteen Days, featuring work by Javier de Frutos, Craig Revel Horwood, Ivan Perez, Christopher Wheeldon and Russell Maliphant to Darlington Hippodrome.

Saltburn Arts plays host to Testosterone on Tuesday.

Comedy Seriously Dead comes to Harrogate Theatre on Tuesday. Then on Thursday, one-man show Old Herbaceous is at Harlow Carr (tickets from the Harrogate Theatre box office). In the theatre’s main house on Friday, Swansea City Opera presents The Barber of Seville (sung in English).
