Who Benefits?

News is now beginning to emerge about what companies are in line to benefit from the new round of funding from Arts Council England which is seeing almost 200 arts organisations facing total or partial cuts.

There will be eighty organisations which will become RFOs (Regularly Funded Organisations) and the majority will receive an increase in line with inflation.

A number of theatres and theatre companies have revealed that they will receive large increases. They are (with percentage increases where known):

London

Roundhouse (67%)
Hackney Empire (31%)
Arcola (62%)
Shunt Vaults (over 100%)
Paines Plough (almost 15%)
Company of Angels
Frantic Assembly
Ridiculusmus
Kazzum Theatre Projects

East Anglia

New Wolsey, Ipswich (26%)

Midlands

Talking Birds

North West

Nuffield, Lancaster (21%)
Action Transport
M6 Theatre Company
Theatre by the Lake, Keswick

North East

Lawnmowers (Gateshead)
