Willoughby Goddard (1926 - 2008) Actor Willoughby Goddard died on 14th April at the age of 81. Work in rep followed and then in 1948 he made his first London appearance in Gog and Magog at the Arts and in 1952 appeared in Ebb Tide at the Royal Court. From then he went on to make frequent London stage appearances, which included creating the role of Cardinal Wolsey in Robert Bolt's A Man For All Seasons. He also appeared at the Palladium, the Duchess and the Old Vic where he played the Mayor in the 1984 revival of Arden's Serjeant Musgrave's Dance. His films included The Green Man (1956), The Millionairess (1961), The Wrong Box (1966), The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968), The Canterbury Tales (1971) and Young Sherlock Holmes (1985).
