After a pilot festival in 2014, Wilton’s Strike! is back for 2016, inviting six emerging artists to showcase their new works at Wilton’s Music Hall.
Six choreographers were chosen by a board of industry experts including former Royal Ballet dancer Viviana Durante, Critics Choice award winner Jonathan Goddard and Lee Smikle, Resident Artist with Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and Re:Bourne.
Using this year’s theme of memory, the six selected choreographers were commissioned to develop their work with help from professional mentors.
The performance will be live-streamed, and a Q&A session will be held on all three nights. Tickets are free for the festival, which will run from Tuesday 3 May to Thursday 5 May 2016.
There will also be a performance by a group of East London secondary school pupils, Youth Strike!.
