Writers Wanted: Hornchurch The Queen's Theatre, Hornchurch has announced the launch of its New Writing Award Programme for 2006-7. The theatre is looking for applications from aspiring playwrights to receive a place on its New Writing Award scheme. The programme runs from November 2006 to July 2007. The culmination of the programme will be WriteNow! a festival of new writing by new playwrights. The Queen's Theatre's New Writing Award is an integral part of the theatre's commitment to new writing. The programme is led by a team of professional playwrights who will mentor the Award Winners throughout. In recent years the theatre has produced many pieces of new writing as part of our main house repertory season and commissioned original Theatre in Education productions.
