Wuthering Heights at the Royal Exchange

Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights gets a new adaptation by Bruntwood Prize-winning writer Andrew Sheridan when Manchester Royal Exchange’s new artistic director Bryony Shanahan creates a contemporary production with an ensemble of actors and musicians, from February 7 to March 7.

Together they explore the twists and turns in Brontë’s imagination, underscored by live, original music.

Playing Heathcliff is Alex Austin who returns to the Royal Exchange following his role in Anna Jordan’s Bruntwood winning play Yen. Rakhee Sharma makes her Exchange debut in the role of Cathy. The cast also includes Rhiannon Clements, David Crellin, Dean Fagan, Samantha Power and Gurjeet Singh joined on stage by musicians Sophie Galpin and Rebecca Wilkie.
