Summer in Leeds

The New Season at the West Yorkshire Playhouse

The West Yorkshire Playhouse has announced it summer 2003 season:

Playhouse Creatures by April de Angelis (4th April to 10th May in the Quarry Theatre). Directed by John Tiffany and starring Joanne Froggatt and Sandra Voe.

The Hanging Man by Improbable Theatre (19th April to 17th May in the Courtyard). Phelim McDermott, Lee Simpson and Julian Crouch jointly write, design and direct. A co-production with the Lyric, Hammersmith, where it will play from 2nd to 21st June before a US tour.

A Small Family Business by Alan Ayckbourn (6th June to 12th July in the Quarry). Directed by Ian Brown.

Off Camera by Marcia Layne (27th June to 12th July in the Courtyard). World premiere of the first play by a Sheffield-based writer.

Touring productions during the season will include Northern Broadsides' A Woman Killed with Kindness and Henry V, Midnight's Children (RSC) and Hull Truck performing John Godber's Reunion.
