WYSIWYG 2006 WYSIWYG, Scotland's Annual Showcase of Performing Arts for Children and Young People organised by Imaginate, runs from Wednesday 27th September to Thursday 28 September 2006 at the Byre Theatre, St Andrews, and features theatre, dance, puppetry, music, storytelling and participatory events Proposals are currently being invited from performing companies who would like to showcase at WYSIWYG 2006. Work in progress, performed readings and participatory events (eg. educational workshops) presented in the appropriate context, as well as performances in their finished state will be considered. WYSIWYG is the key meeting place for all those involved in the performing arts sector for children and young people. Delegates at WYSIWYG include performers, directors, venue and festival programmers, cultural co-ordinators, education officers, arts policy makers and funders. Previous delegates have found it an invaluable way to view the range of work available, book shows, meet colleagues, discuss work and generate new strategies for the future. WYSIWYG aims to provide a balanced programme in terms of art form, age range, and new and established companies. There is a limited number of performance slots. The selection criteria will be based on:
* If you/your company is not known to Imaginate or the selection panel, a member of the selection panel/Imaginate staff will be in touch following your proposal submission to chat about you/your company and your work. To apply to perform at WYSIWYG please send in your proposal on no
more than two sides of A4, describing the performance/event. Please
include details such as duration of performance, target age range, contact
