Yvonne Arnaud search for a new play

Yvonne Arnaud TheatreThe Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford is on a creative quest, searching for a brand new play to take to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2013.

Open to all, the winning play will be developed with the Youth Theatre and will run for two weeks at the Fringe. It must be original, have never been performed previously, be an hour long and suitable for a cast of six to eight young actors, but there are no restrictions about themes or subject matter.

The closing date for submissions is July 20th. The first entry stage is for writers to submit a synopsis and a single sentence that sums up their story and one sample page of dialogue. At the end of July, the top writers will be asked for a 10 minute excerpt to be submitted for the final selection.

The winning play will be previewed at the Mill Studio and transferred to Edinburgh for a two week run at Paradise in The Vault.
