Conformist couple Choubert and Madeline sit at home and discuss theatre.
While the government is encouraging detachment (possibly due to the
credit crunch!) Choubert comes to the conclusion that every piece of
theatre is an investigation, with a riddle to solve. At this point a
detective arrives to find out about a character called Mallot, with
a 't'. So begins a surreal journey through Choubert's memories to find
the elusive Mallot with a 't' and Ionesco's absurd comedy sets off.
This early work of the author provides an autobiographical slice of
Ionesco's voyage into the absurd. With some excellent performances from
the central characters and inventive theatrical pieces with set this
proves to be a recommendable trip down memory and absurdity lane.

A one woman performance of T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land. With
an unreliable, flickering light, a chair, stool and screen this actor
performs the multi-voiced poem with commitment and energy, taking the
audience on a half an hour journey into the unknown. A stimulating production
for Eliot lovers, with a thoughtful and dedicated performance.

In McPherson's one man play a theatre critic grows fat on his reputation
as a scathing journalist but finds his comeuppance when he meets not
only a young actress but also a group of vampires. Before this man's
alcoholic breakdown and meeting with the mysterious blood sucking creatures
he only had to work one hour a day (obviously he'd never reviewed at
the Edinburgh Festival) and alienated his family around him with his
poisonous personality.
Peter Dineen's brilliant performance makes this show a delight to watch
(especially for theatre critics!) with his perfect timing and flawless
character creation. An excellent combination of a fantastic performer
and a superb playwright.
