In October 1998, while I was still working for About.com (then The Mining Company), I took a short (five night) trip to New York. My brother-in-law had just died of cancer. He was eight years younger than me and it certainly made me aware of my mortality. You never can tell what's round the corner and there was so much he would have loved to have done, but in the end he just didn't have the time. So I thought, that's not going to happen to me! I'm going to do those things I want to do, not put them off for another time. So I found a hotel (via the Net, of course!) and booked my flight. What follows is the diary of my stay and reviews of the shows I saw. |
