3rd February, 2002Have developed an allergy to the super expensive shampoo and conditioner, so, one week of looking like Farah Fawcett Major and the next resembling the wicked witch in Snow White. After using a new super improved bathroom cleaner I breathed in fumes that should only be available for sale under railway bridges and started sneezing. Thinks: am I developing allergies? Will I end up in a plastic bubble? Least I wouldn't have to actually do anything. Cleaned and dusted bedroom with super fragrant furniture polish, hoovered, collated eleven bags of throw outs to donate to charity shop (five were from last Spring), cleaned and dusted desks. All this because of a programme I watched about clutter affecting your life, how it holds you back from what you really want to do. Thing is, doing all that held me back from what I really wanted to do. Back to work, wrote up all my notes from bits of paper onto newly created computer folders. Next step; use the notes. Decided to clean the vegetable rack. Whilst staring at a peculiar bird in the garden that turned out to be a leaf, lines of dialogue came into my head for the German play. Wrote them down and came upstairs to transcribe them into appropiate folder. Continued with the original thought and came up with some pivotal dialogue. Whilst in the mood I decided to do some research on the internet. Websites were taking ages to come up.... an hour later I'd got to level twelve (twice) on Catch 'em Cowboy. Checked out new entries on Friends Reunited and cleaned the computer screen after sneezing on it. Read an article in a women's glossy about life plans. Three step plan is; 1-Discover who you are, 2-Work out what you want, 3-Make it happen. Step three is distinctly uneven and the one I keep tripping over. The last paragraph of this three page article reads; "Succesful people are the ones who have enormous self discipline and go ahead with what they intend, whether they feel like it or not". Looks like I'm doomed to failure then. An hour after reading the article can't even remember the basics of it. Three days of storms and four dogs to exercise, wait for a break in the weather - and pick up Clearance. Changed the bedding in the guest bedroom. Still wind storm rain and hail, type in two sentences realising I've changed things around. Realise I now have to marry every sentence and reference from original script to notes to what I've typed in so far. Go out into the rain wind hail and storm and glad of it. John emailed with news of saving the Majestic Cinema in Bridgnorth. It's a fab building and well worth saving, and would be great as an arts centre - this is what John proposes for it. Wrote a letter of support as requested to the Bridgnorth Journal. Taff Gillingham from the 'Khaki Chums' (organisation that commemorates and has extensive knowledge of, the British Military) sent email circular asking for my support in the campaign to stop the building of a motorway through Pilckem Ridge battlefield in France, scene of the first gas attack. Wrote an email of support as requested. Had a 'chain letter' email asking to send on the 'good news' to thirty more people and 'good news' will come my way. Sent an e mail telling them to **** off or read a magazine article about life plans as they clearly haven't got one. Lynne Harvey
