The Playwright's FAQBy Lynne Harvey, writer-in-residence at the Drayton Court TheatreQ. How Can I choose my own music for the play? A.If you must. Music is extremely personal, the piece of music that you want associated with your work you are probably too close to and love so much you can't quite see it isn't right and can't disassociate yourself from it to get the wider picture, also the music that you keep playing at home over and over again (c'mon admit it!) through your earphones or on the CD player might just sound cloyingly sentimental or brash or just so wrong played through speakers to a massed group of people at a particular moment. Suggest if you must but not on the script, wait until it's been accepted and you see it coming together - it might save your blushes.
