schools and other youth programs up to eleven original one-act plays written
specifically for students ages 7-14 to perform. Drama teachers and directors
are responding very favorably to our program and there are no royalty fees

Connor Snyder Radio PlaysI have a selection of radio plays written over the last year or so, many of which might be suitable for school, college or university radio stations/drama groups.... As an aspiring writer, I entered several of them in the 1996 and 1997 rounds of the Woolwich Young Radio Playwrights' Competition, and a couple were selected for the top fifty plays of the nation-wide competition. They have a variety of themes - tackling issues head on, like smoking, putting a new slant on issues, such as domestic abuse, and bringing up new thoughts about such things as the effects electricity has on society.... Written for casts ranging from one performer, through to five or six actors, with plenty of acting, directing and technical-wizardry opportunities, they might be useful to any school radio station or drama group who might like to tackle them as a project or the such-like.... If anybody is interested in getting more details about any of these plays, I can be contacted at: dr8davi@student.qmced.ac.uk and would be more than happy to give you more details. Gareth Davies, Classics on Stage! Our website is: members.aol.com/classstage Deadly DealsAuthors: Bernard Hoyle / Paul Zdanowicz The musical runs for approximately 90 minutes and is based around five principle characters. Ronnie Fraser, Lucy (Ronnie's girlfriend), Danny Wheeler (the dealer), Ronnie's mum and his sister Donna. A cast of approximatly 20/25 including dancers is needed. It has 13 original songs which can be supplied on minidisc or CD making production easy. The story is held together by the narrator Sammy who is Danny Wheelers old girlfriend and a drug addict. The story line follows Ronnie's decline into drug addiction and the effect that this has on his friends and family. At the moment Deadly Deals is being produced by Calder High school in Halifax for performance in the spring. They are also finding the play very helpful in the classroom as part of their drugs education program because many of the issues it raises make good topics for debate. To produce the musical ourselves we formed Cee Zee Performing Arts. We are now in our third year and the young people who we initially attracted are still with us and are as enthusiastic about Deadly Deals as they were when they first performed it.
