A Child Is Born

A CHILD IS BORN is a 45 minute musical play based on the nativity. It is written by the internationally published children's author Hiawyn Oram with songs composed by singer-songwriter, Gilly Elkin.

Though the story mainly follows the well-known plot, in every scene there are new ideas energetically expressed in a range of songs which offer exciting opportunities for performance and staging.

The 10 new and original songs that carry the narrative are: In A Town Called Nazareth (Chorus), Mary's Fears (Mary and Chorus), Fear Not, Mary (Gabriel and the Messengers), Emperor's Decree (Chorus & Roman Soldiers), Bumpy Ride (Chorus, Mary & Joseph), No Room In The Inns (Innkeepers, Wives and Bethlehem Crowd), A Place in Bethlehem (Mary's haunting solo), And So The Story Goes (Shepherds and All) Just As We Are (Urchin Children of Bethlehem), Tula Tula, Baby (Mary, Urchins & All) And So The Story Goes (Reprise, All.)

In Our Hands Now

In Our Hands Now!, written by by E. Sandy Powell and Mick Terry, features an odd group of high schoolers who are trying to make sense of the world they've been given. In spite of their world being "so out of balance," the kids find and step up to the challenge: "It's in our hands now!"

In Our Hands Now! is a full "book musical," set in a contemporary high school.

The website has full details of the show, along with photographs and reviews.
