Christmas Plays by Barry Marsh

Is there anyone who'd like use of two short shows with a more 'offbeat' Christmas theme? I've written Santa for Sale and The Jesus Jazz in collaboration with composer Stephen Marshall. Each piece is about 15 minutes long and needs a choir and a few actors plus narrator. Tapes/score available on request. I can provide more detailed synopsis.

Also...I have 3 plays written for Youth Theatre groups about 45 mins long each.Again - anyone want to read them!!!? They've already been performed.

Plays by Kjartan Poskitt

I've written Henry the Tudor Dude and just finished Fawkes The Quiet Guy which are both published by Samuel French Ltd, London. In two years HENRY an accurate rock and roll story of HENRY VIII) has been performed in over 50 schools both in the U.K., also in New Zealand, Zimbabwe and Kenya. My web site giving details of these shows and other things is

Plays by Randall Lewton

All these plays were written specifically for the secondary school age group ( ages 11-18 ). I have tried to meet the needs of school play producers (I am one myself) e.g. large casts, a larger than usual number of strong leading roles, opportunities for a large or small 'chorus' and a number of comic or interesting cameos. Many of the parts can be played by either girls or boys.

All the plays are available from Samuel French Ltd.

The Monster That Ate 3B is a comedy, set in Italy, which offers lots of opportunities for mime and improvisation. Strongly influenced by Jaws it tells the story of Class 3B on an educational visit to Pericolo di Morte, where a sea beast has been terrorising the town.

An Alien Stole My Skateboard is a comedy set in suburbia and in a parallel dimension - " a world of fantasy where good and evil meet in battle across a landscape of the imagination." Here the influence is The Twilight Zone. A large cast is possible and the staging is very flexible. ISBN 0-573-05097-X

By now you will have realised that my plays fall into the "fun" rather than the "literature" category!

The Sweeney Todd Shock 'n' Roll Show is a musical based on the traditional Victorian melodrama. My version has more songs, more characters and more jokes. Music is by Peter Miller. ISBN 0-573-18030-X

I Was A Teenage Jekyll and Hyde is the story of downtrodden schoolboy, Sylvester Jekyll, and how he is transformed into superboy Hyde by a potion created by his crazed chemistry teacher, Eustace Crucible. There are sixteen musical numbers. Music is by Peter Miller. ISBN 0-573-18009-1

Seven Golden Dragons is another musical and tells the story of a school team who are mistaken for the legendary saviours of a tribe of elflings who are being menaced by orcs in a Tolkien-inspired kingdom far far away. This one is heavily influenced by The Magnificent Seven ( or The Seven Samurai if you prefer.) Music is again by Peter Miller. ISBN 0-573-05089-9
