A double-bill of short plays by Steven Berkoff, presented in a one-actor, 50 minute production.
Berkoff first presented Dog in 1993, in response to the pub-lad-football culture surrounding hooliganism, embodying this male angst and insecurity in not only a racist skinhead but also his foul-mouthed pitbull terrier. Actor was first performed in 1984 and is written as a spoken word poem, commenting on the paranoia and jealousy that some artists feel when suffering rejection after rejection.
The show is performed and directed by Stephen Smith, Artistic Director of Threedumb Theatre and the director/performer of One Man Poe (OffComm Award - Offies 2022), The Black Cat (2 x OnComm Finalist and 1 x OnComm Winner - Offies 2022) and Within (OnComm Finalist - Offies 2021).
