Edith

Author(s): Harriet Madeley
Company: Crowded Room

Edith explores the sensational trial that split the nation, which saw 28-year-old Edith Thompson and her 20-year-old lover Frederick Bywaters put on trial for murdering Edith's husband. Edith was hanged for the crime on 9 January 1923 in what critics now generally regard as a grave miscarriage of justice.

The play stars Ivy Corbin (The Great Gatsby) and Peyvand Sadeghian (Bridgerton). It has been written by Harriet Madeley (The Other Tchaikovsky), directed by Madelaine Moore (Old Vic 12) and produced by the award-winning company Crowded Room (The Listening Room).
