Fanny's Burning

Author(s): Anton Burge Company: Frinton Summer Theatre

The world première of Anton Burge's latest play concerning the last years of celebrity chef Fanny Craddock.

Few of us can forget her waltzing around a BBC studio in a lavish dress serving up delicious treats and basically telling us how to cook correctly. Often accompanied by her husband Johnnie and her rather silent assistant Carol—who basically did all the hard work.

The BBC studio sessions were fantastically popular and this play charts Fanny at her height whilst acknowledging what brought about her fall.
