Northamptonshire venue The Core at Corby Cube is encouraging people of all ages to get involved in weekly workshops, with sessions exploring drama and dance.

Young people aged from 12 to 16 can develop their singing, acting and dancing skills with vocal coach and West End performer Phia O’Keefe at musical theatre sessions which start from Tuesday (14 January).

They can also work with creative projects manager Lisa Byrne to create a multi-media performance as part of Core Company youth theatre from Wednesday (15 January).

Saturday morning youth theatre Sparks returns on 18 January for children aged between eight and 11.

Moves Street Dance on Thursdays from 16 January for 8- to 16-year-olds combines street and contemporary styles where beginners and more confident dancers can work on developing new pieces of choreography.

All the work created throughout the term will be showcased at the Corby Youth Arts Slam on Friday 28 March.

Each course comprises 12 practical workshop sessions and costs £35 for the term.

Get Involved sessions for adults include Arts Alive classes on Thursday which offer over 50s the chance to try a range of activities including drama and dance for £3 a session.
