A new musical comes to Liverpool’s Hope Street Theatre November 16–27.
The Musical of Musicals... The Musical is the inaugural production of Laffan Productions, a new professional theatre company led by Liverpool actor and director Sharon Byatt. It’s also the first time this comic homage to musical theatre has had a professional production outside London.
It’s headlined by Liverpool favourite Eithne Browne, known for her role as Chrissy Rogers in Brookside.
One story becomes five musicals, each written in the style of a different master of the form.
Joining Eithne in the cast will be Tori Hargreaves (Blood Brothers, Soho Cinders), Dominic Treacy (The History Boys), John-Paul Briss (Peaky Blinders, Mamma Mia!) and, making her professional stage debut, Amy Leek, who recently graduated from Liverpool Theatre School.
