The London PLASA show is back after a COVID-cancelled 2020 event.

Taking place at The Grand Hall, Olympia, this year's entertainment technology fest is a landmark event incorporating the Association of British Theatre Technicians Theatre Show Hub and includes a celebration of the ABTT's 60th anniversary.

The programme of events as previously includes talks, product demonstrations and practical training on everything from apprenticeships and drawing rigging plots to safety legislation updates and immersive audio demonstrations.

After a period of devastation for the live events industry, the keynote talk will be given by Carol Scott from TAIT on the future of live productions and how the live sector can become a sustainable industry. The winners of the PLASA Awards for Innovation will also be revealed with the nominees' work available for viewing.

Special arrivals at the PLASA Show will be the BikeFest cyclists who will have cycled from Reading to Olympia raising funds for technical entertainment charity Backup, which supports Stagehand, Music Support, Acting For Others and #MakeItBlue.

In October 2020 and May 2021, PLASA presented online programmes for entertainment industry professionals featuring expert panels, technical sessions, and presentations on creative projects, products and topical themes such as sustainability in the industry. Much of the content continues to be available on PLASA's web site.

PLASA is the lead association for the entertainment technology industry. The PLASA Show runs from 5 to 7 September at The Grand Hall, Olympia London incorporating current safety guidelines.
