Scamp Theatre’s stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s The Scarecrows’ Wedding comes to Z-arts in Manchester December 11–14.
Actor-musicians perform Darren Clark’s score and bring the love story of Betty O’Barley and Harry O’Hay to life.
Betty and Harry are excellent scarecrows who decide to get married so Harry sets off to search for their wedding day essentials. However, when the farmer notices he is missing a scarecrow, he replaces Harry with devilishly smooth Reginald Rake. Can Reginald persuade Betty that he is the scarecrow for her? Will Harry make it back before Reginald ruins their special day?
