Northampton’s Royal and Derngate is looking for stories for a walking tour with a difference.
Writer and performer Daniel Bye has got together with director and dramaturg Sarah Punshon to bring to life Story Hunt.
They will be collecting stories from library books, museums, archives and by talking to as many local people as they can. They want to discover everything that makes Northampton what it is today.
Daniel Bye says, “We need tales of lost and forgotten Northampton, of buildings long since bulldozed, people no longer with us and events that left no physical trace behind them.
“We’re going to try to get our heads around what Northampton is, was and could be—and we need a lot of help.”

Story Hunt performances will take place from Friday until Sunday, 27 to 29 June, and will depart from Royal and Derngate.
