The Little Prince

The Little Prince lands in Manchester February 20–22 when Z-arts host this new show from Fuel Theatre.

It takes the timeless story and gives it a modern spin, adapting it for the stage whilst maintaining the soul of the original book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

The first work for children from the pen of Inua Ellams, award-winning playwright of Barber Shop Chronicles, it is directed by Femi Elufowoju, jr, the first theatre director of African descent to establish a national touring company in the UK, Tiata Fahodzi in 1997.

Broken down in the Sahara Desert, desperate to repair her fighter jet, a pilot meets an extraordinary Little Prince. As he recounts his adventures, the pilot rediscovers the power of imagination, the importance of doing what we can to protect our natural world and the true meaning of friendship.
