The Not So Ugly Sisters

Sisters are doing it for themselves in Sale’s Waterside arts centre this Christmas when The Not So Ugly Sisters tell it how it is in a new musical play inspired by Cinderella.

Children’s theatre makers Wrongsemble, in a co-production with Leeds Playhouse and Red Ladder, stage a show where the action centres around Dolly and Barb in their hairdressing salon on the day of their sister Cindy’s wedding to Prince Smarming.

Running at just under an hour with no interval but original songs, puppetry and funky moves, it promises a festive treat for small people and grown-ups.

Waterside’s other festival treats kick off on November 7 with Ballet Theatre UK’s re-telling of The Snow Queen.

Lyngo Theatre presents Little Red Riding Hood December 13–17 and older kids can enjoy A Christmas Carol December 17.
