From Tuesday to Saturday 51 Shades of Maggie comes to the Theatre Royal in Newcastle.

On Thursday and Friday Black Coffee Theatre presents Found, a co-production with Northern Stage, Alnwick Playhouse and ARC Stockton, at Northern Stage.

At the Customs House in South Shields from Wednesday to Saturday Ion Productions presents the comedy The Dark Side of the Half Moon.

On Thursday London Classic Theatre presents Betrayal by Harold Pinter at Alnwick Playhouse, followed on Saturday by balletLORENT with The Night Ball.

At The Maltings in Berwick on Friday and Saturday is Retail, a Bridging the Gap co-production with The Customs House, Theatre Royal Newcastle and The Maltings.

One-man show Formby, the story of George Formby, comes to the Gala in Durham on Saturday.

At ARC Stockton Wednesday is ARCADE Scratch Night, featuring three new writing companies: Meerkat Theatre, Bandicoot Theatre and OddManOut.

Dreamboats and Petticoats is at Darlington Civic from Monday to Saturday.

This week is Ripon International Festival week which features The Clock by Hide and Seek Theatre Company in North Stainley Village Hall. Tickets from Harrogate Theatre.

From Thursday until 21st September Reform Theatre Company presents Stand in the Harrogate Theatre Studio.
