Back together again: Jonathan Wilkes and Christian Patterson in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Stoke’s “favourite pantomime duo” Jonathan Wilkes and Christian Patterson are to return to the city’s Regent Theatre for the 2014 offering Dick Whittington.

Wilkes said, “One of the best sounds in the world for me is to hear the Regent Theatre audiences laughing.

“I look forward all year to panto and I can’t wait to be back on stage in Dick Whittington.

“The panto at the Regent is the highlight of the year for me and we had excellent feedback last year from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

Patterson added, “I’m from Wales but Stoke is like a second home to me. I love being there at Christmas.

“Me and Jonny have a brilliant time and can’t wait to get started. It doesn’t seem one minute since Snow White finished, but we’re already keen to start working on Dick Whittington.”

Regent Theatre general manager Andrew Nicklin paid tribute to the duo.

“Christmas wouldn’t be the same without them here and their stage presence is so impressive, they bounce off each other very well."

Dick Whittington runs at the Regent from Friday, 28 November until Sunday 4 January.
