What’s to come in North East theatre

Introduction

As Shakespeare wrote in the song "O Mistress Mine" (from Twelfth Night), “What's to come, is still unsure. / In delay there lies no plenty” and a number of North East theatres are following his advice and not delaying their plans for re-opening and welcoming audiences back into their auditoria.

In this feature, we look at how North East theatres are planning to open their doors to live audiences. If a theatre is not mentioned, it is because we have no information about their plans.

The only one night only shows we are listing for receiving houses are theatre / dance performances. For many, the bulk of their planned shows are music or comedy one-nighters and details of them can be found on the individual theatres’ web sites.
