Sense and Sensibility
Sense and Sensibility tells the story of the Dashwood family and follows sisters Elinor and Marianne, whose lives are turned upside down when their father passes away suddenly and leaves the family home to their half-brother, John. Although instructed to take care of his sisters, John is dissuaded from his duty by his greedy wife, Fanny, leaving them, their mother and sister penniless and destitute.
They are forced to move to a cottage on a distant relative’s property in rural Devonshire. Here, the sisters experience love, romance, and heartbreak, each guided by their unique personalities—Elinor’s pragmatism and Marianne’s impassioned sensibilities.
