Some Masterchef Shit

Author(s): Liam High

When Adam and Luke agree to meet, there are myriad reasons their relationship, whatever this is, shouldn't work. However, over that first cup of peppermint tea, we see the spiralling story of this unlikely duo ask questions about love, identity and how exactly to pronounce the name of the drag queen ‘Courtney Act’.

Through these two characters, Some Masterchef Shit uses a queer lens to reimagine one of the most shocking crimes in modern memory. The play’s themes of choice and mental health combine to examine the idea of living life by default in a story between two men, struggling to exist.
