Broken Boys

Author(s): Jake Talbot Company: Dare to Known Theatre

Broken Boys, written by Jake Talbot and directed by Miranda Parker, explores young men’s mental health and considers whether the ways boys talk to each other is harmful. It examines what society means when we tell young men to ‘talk’.

The play centers on five young men who are noted as suffering from mental health issues, grief or trauma in some way. The lads are given free run of a classroom during a free period as part of a new initiative by the school to encourage the boys to speak with each other.

If you imagine a young man's WhatAps group on stage... that!
