Herbert Richards plays all the roles in The Cavalry, the hit radio show his sister, Dorothy, writes. But when Wyllis Guthrie, from their US network, makes an unprecedented appearance at their little studio during the recording of the Christmas special, Herbert freaks out because he claims a fraudulent salary as each "actor" which could ruin the siblings’ career. Throw in a mysterious aspiring actor and the fact Wyllis is keeping secrets of his own and you have all the ingredients for a classic Christmas caper.
