Local

Author(s): Liz Richardson

A show about home, belonging or not, and letting go.

"The Boffs were outsiders, not local like, even though we were born there. I was only really a Boff by association."

Solo storyteller Liz revisits her childhood memories and home in West Cumbria in an attempt to understand whether she still belongs there, or ever did.

In this multi-generational piece, Liz takes the audience on a journey through the rural landscape and environment of her home, reconnecting with voices from the past and her young family now.

In doing so, she unearths some painful home truths.

By the end, Liz and the audience discover a shared reality that she hadn't set out to find.
