Get creative in Bolton

The Octagon in Bolton is launching a call-out for Community Creators as part of their ReAct initiative looking for ideas from people aged 50+.

Building on the theatre’s older people’s engagement work, it’s a Lottery-funded project to set up new arts activities creating engagement work for the age range.

The Octagon wants to hear from anyone who may have a creative idea to make a positive change in their community and help keep connected during the pandemic. These are ideas that can make a difference to people’s lives, from suggestions for online well-being workshops, possible hobby clubs and societies, to ways to get creative outdoors.

ReAct has successfully developed music sessions with Bolton Dementia Support and Theatre Club, an informal space for over-50s to watch, read and discuss theatre.
