The 53two venue in Manchester has launched FOUNDation: a fund set aside specifically for emerging artists in Manchester and the North West.

They have pledged to give back what they can to artists from across the spectrum, whether this is monetary, production support, provision of venue, sponsor or other.

Their first FOUNDation is with a company a formed primarily from recent graduates. Catherine Cranfield has written Flushed, a piece exploring premature menopause and a relationship between two sisters.

The team has benefited from reduced space costs, a co-production status (involving production support and mentorship) and marketing help.

Flushed runs from March 27 to 31.
